the skinny on white (body) supremacy

imagine a world where

we weren’t raised to

believe that only flat

(white) bellies were

beautiful

imagine a childhood when i

wasn’t constantly reminded

by the women around me to

suck my belly in

what if my dr hadn’t told me

while his hand was inside me

that I’d make his job easier

if I always stayed thin

what if i didn’t grow up

watching my mom hate

her own body and learning

to hate and fear my own

can you imagine not judging

your body every single time you

look in the mirror?

me neither

did you know that all the mind

fuckery we have about our

bodies is rooted in racism

and white (body) supremacy?

we have to do better.

🤝 our perfectionism is killing women of color, it's  killing us and its killing our kids

👊 we have to educate ourselves on how our "ideal body" was born out of white supremacy
